I don’t know about you, but I like to get good at everything. But that is really difficult as there aren’t enough hours in a day, and having too many interests causes your mind to be scattered and unfocused. Not only that but we are constantly being told that in order to become an expert or to get really good at any topic we have to focus.

Who do you want to become?

Present yourself not as you are right now, but who you want to become.

When you are talking to other people or presenting yourself online through, for example, a Twitter bio, talk about how you want to be. Just don’t discuss things that you cannot do. Don’t pretend. So talk about your current interests.

If you know nothing about the topics you would like to present, just get started learning about them. You don’t have to be an expert. You can learn in public. People are fascinated by those that are learning to master any topic and don’t expect perfection or expertise.

They just want to see your journey unfold.

Don’t limit yourself to what you’re already good at

Make yourself familiar with a variety of different disciplines and interests.

I'm obsessed with health and feeling good. Nutrition, sleep, exercise all play their part. But energy is fundamental to a healthy life.
