How to achieve personal growth
It starts with getting uncomfortable
What do I mean by that? What has achieving personal growth got to do with being uncomfortable? Everything. Let me paint a picture for you.
You are at work. You’ve had this job for so many years you’ve lost track of time. Your work is done efficiently, your boss is pleased, and you often finish early enough to go home and enjoy the summer sunshine.
But you’re on autopilot. You are not learning anything new. Your creativity is stifled. You are going round and round in circles every day. You’re bored. There is nothing different to look forward to, except holidays.
You are well inside your comfort zone. Every day feels relaxed and comfortable. Do you think you are growing as a person? No.
This is the best time to change your life.
So how can you achieve personal growth that is exciting, interesting, creative, new, and where you are learning every day? By being uncomfortable; by being well outside your comfort zone, and taking on a new challenge.
