How to succeed with a new start-up. Years ago I launched a start-up training small business owners on how to use applications on the new Apple Mac computers (they were new at the time). These were pre-internet days. It was hard work. I had to hustle. Although I got a few clients, it was not enough to become a sustainable business.
Startups are so much easier in the internet age. Today, it’s about creating an audience first. You begin creating content to gain visibility and traction, and there are so many platforms to choose from: Medium, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and many others.
Once you have your audience then you ask them what’s their biggest problem, and create a product or service to solve it. You’ll have a ready pool of buyers and a way to contact them easily.
This is the new start-up model.
