Making mathematics fun

I’ve been a private maths tutor ever since I stopping working in the IT industry, which is around 7 years ago now. I enjoy the challenge of solving maths problems and learning new ways to do maths, but I know that not everybody does. In fact, I’ve taught many students who hate, fear, loathe or are just plain indifferent to mathematics. As it’s compulsory in UK schools, and indeed, in most countries, that’s a problem.
