Finding out which one is best

After some experimentation with my diet and eating patterns, I studied the benefits of fasting and decided to try both to see which is best. I started with YouTube videos of other people’s experiences with both. There were multi-day fasts put to the test and the 2-meal day was popular.

I’ve ordered Max Lowry’s book, ‘the 2-meal day: burn fat and boost energy through intermittent fasting’. The book is based around the 16/8 schedule, which is 16 hours of fasting and 8 hours of eating, every day. And I started on Saturday, just gone, continuing today, which is Monday. So what did I do on Sunday? I did a one-day, or 24 hours, fast.

The 2-meal day can be done in different ways and you can choose 16/8, 20/6, or some other variation. My two meals would be lunch at 1 pm and dinner, which I plan to finish by 7 pm. So that’s a 20/6 cycle. The 24 hours fast I did on Sunday, from 7 pm on Saturday through to 7 pm on Sunday.

I think the 2-meal day will suit me better and is definitely the easiest to do. Missing breakfast is not really a problem. I just have a bigger lunch. But missing a whole day of eating is a lot harder, in my experience. My tummy made lots of noises and I was hungry often. Whereas…
