How does it change your life?
It isn’t the first time I’ve heard about the amazing Dutchman, Wim Hof, and his adventures. Dubbed the ‘iceman’, he did a marathon in arctic snow, climbs mountain summits in just a pair of shorts, and has swum under a frozen lake. Just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine!
What can we learn from what he’s achieved?
This time I am interested enough to watch his videos, read his recently published book, and study others who have followed his teachings. He teaches deep breathing, cold therapy, and mindfulness. We’ve become soft and weak. The human body and mind are capable of so much more. Wim’s techniques help us to realise what we are capable of. Deep breathing is powerful, especially with a virus that attacks our lungs. Cold therapy has so many benefits for our health and his techniques instill discipline, stoicism, and feeling good in your own skin.
