We’re all so busy keeping fit we’ve forgotten about mobility. I’m no spring chicken, but when I saw a photo of me with a stoop, I knew I had to improve my posture. The problem is mobility. I had allowed my body to get stiff and inflexible. It was time to take action. And I’ve found a brilliant video by Jeremy Ethier called the perfect mobility routine.

Research shows that as we age, there are 4 areas of our body that can get stiff and unyielding: shoulders, spine, hips, and ankles. Jeremy shows us simple exercises to reveal our level of flexibility in each area.

When I did each exercise my shoulders and spine were very stiff. Clearly, they need my attention, so I added all of the exercises to my daily routine, with a focus on very inflexible areas.
